In Case You Were Wondering...

I am still here...

Busy, though, doing many things - and, crochet & crafting {and my blog} have taken a back seat.

I have been wanting to make a granny square bunting for several months now. Day before yesterday I started working on it. I really wanted to do a circle in the center and then square it up while keeping it small enough to match the picture I have in "my mind's eye". I have been looking at different patterns and  pictures online and I'm not really there yet (because what I have done so far is HUGE). But, it's a start and I am excited about it.

And here I have a surprise for a friend...

I hope you are enjoying your weekend...

{hugs}
Laura

  4. Glad to see you posting! Yesterday I made a sample of a squared circle from Signed with an Owl, with worsted weight yarn, and I swear it came out the size of a big salad plate! I used some Red Heart Super Saver, which made it feel like a cast iron skillet. Trying it again today with some Berroco Vintage. Looks like your using a nice soft cotton yarn? I like the colors. Keep going!

      My Nana used Red Heart Super Saver most of the time - you are right about the feel. I am using Sugar n' Cream cotton yarn.
